Concept B — Automations inside sessions

No new global view. Recurring work lives where you already look: a small Scheduled section in the sessions sidebar, a heartbeat strip on the session it serves, run results as quiet cards in the transcript, and a one-click "run this on a schedule" affordance on the composer.

  • 1 A compact Scheduled section in the existing sidebar — visible health (next run, failure streak) without a separate view.
  • 2 Heartbeat strip on the session an automation serves: last/next run, pause, run-now. The session stays yours; the automation is a guest.
  • 3 Runs land in the transcript as quiet collapsed cards (expanded example below it) instead of full chat turns — history in context, no noise.
  • 4 Clock button on the composer: turn the prompt you just typed into a recurring automation.

Run this on a schedule

Turns the prompt below into a recurring automation. Defaults to a heartbeat in this session.
"Check open PRs on orq-os, chase failing checks, merge when green."
Every 15 min Every 30 min Hourly Daily 07:00 Custom cron…
Mode: Heartbeat — this session · change
Disable after 3 consecutive failures · Push on failure on
Check open PRs on orq-os, chase failing checks, merge when green.
  • The popover keeps scheduling frictionless: prompt → preset cadence → done. Full options (mode, runtime, thresholds) remain one click away via "change".
